Plant Operative

Responsibilities

• Operating plant processing equipment such as mixing tanks, pumps, general control room operations
• Carry out treatment of waste operations
• Operate the site based vehicles - forklift trucks, wheeled loading shovel, rigid bulk tanker and other - once trained
• Assist in the maintenance of the plant and equipment and processes
• Promote environmental awareness to contractors, visitors, and employees

• Similar operational manual handling experience
• Knowledge of health and safety ideally to an IOSH standard
• Operational knowledge of plant and equipment
• The ability to drive mobile plant machinery once trained

• Forklift licences and yellow plant licences are desirable
