We are recruiting an experienced, well qualified Production Manager for our client specialising in reconditioning and distribution of heavy plant equipment for construction projects all over the globe.  

Reporting to the Regional Director you will oversee a team of 45 staff made up of 5 direct and 40 indirect report. You will manage daily work schedules to ensure timely and accurate delivery of equipment, and that customer requirements are met.
You will recommend, approve, and implement changes in procedures to improve the operational efficiency of the factory.

Salary:
Up to £65k + quarterly bonus (20%) + car or car allowance + benefits

Hours:

37.5 per week (either 8.00am-4.30pm or 8.30am-5.00pm Mon-Fri)

Responsibilities:

Ensure a safe working environment and adherence to health and safety regulations.
Develop and implement production schedules, ensuring timely completion of projects that meet customer/ business expectations.
Manage resources, including materials, equipment, and personnel, to optimise efficiency and minimise waste.
Implement quality control procedures and ensure products exceed established standards.
Monitor and control production costs, ensuring adherence to budgets.
Lead and motivate production staff, providing guidance and support.
Identify and resolve production issues, implementing corrective actions.
Identify opportunities to improve production processes, efficiency, and quality.
Requirements:

NEBOSH Diploma in Health & Safety
HNC in Engineering
Lean Practitioner – Six Sigma
Proven experience as a Production Manager or similar role.
Strong leadership, organisational, and planning skills.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Technical knowledge of relevant production processes and equipment.
Experience in budget management and cost control
