Non-Executive Director

We are seeking to appoint a Non-Executive Director to join our Board and help shape the future of judo across Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

This is an exciting opportunity for a committed British Judo club member to contribute at Board level during a pivotal period for the organisation, as we focus on international success, membership growth, and delivering an inclusive, sustainable sport that has a positive impact in communities across the UK.

As a Non-Executive Director, you will:

• Help oversee the health, well‑being and strategic direction of British Judo
• Provide independent judgement and constructive challenge at Board level
• Contribute your skills, experience and insight to support effective governance
• Act as an ambassador for British Judo, representing the organisation with members and external stakeholders

Prior Board-level experience is not required. We are looking for individuals who bring strategic thinking, sound judgement and a genuine commitment to British Judo's values.

You should be able to demonstrate:

• Integrity, objectivity and strong interpersonal skills
• The ability to contribute effectively in a collaborative Board environment
• A passion for British Judo and its strategic objectives
• Sufficient time to commit to the role, including travel and occasional out-of-hours meetings
