Grade: G6;
Salary Range: £31,537 - £34,434

We are seeking a Planning Technician to join our Planning team at Walsall Council. The successful candidate will provide technical support and ensure an efficient service for planning applications and local land charges searches.

• Assist in the validation and registration of planning applications, offering a customer‑centric approach to users of our Development Management services.
• Provide technical expertise within the Planning Service and facilitate smooth Planning Committee meetings.

Eligibility: This post is covered by the Government’s Code of Practice on the English Language Fluency Duty for public sector workers. The post holder will be required to communicate verbally with customers and provide advice and/or information in accurate spoken English.
