Volunteer qualities

  • Live in the Black Country, within a reasonable travel distance to site.
  • Volunteers must be over 18
  • Can travel to site
  • Friendly and welcoming - good communication skills, able to speak with clients and staff and build rapport.
  • Able to follow confidentiality policy and professional boundaries to keep themselves and patients safe.
  • Enthusiasm and desire to help improve experiences of patients and improve wellbeing .
  • Computer skills - able to use email, databases and other software

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
