Draughtsperson / CAD Engineer (Setting Out) – Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 DOE.

Hours:

44 per week. Start Time: 06:30 - 07:30.

Birmingham.

Contract:

Full-time | Permanent.

We are working with a highly respected, long-established manufacturing and shopfitting company delivering bespoke joinery and architectural metalwork for premium, high-profile clients. Known for craftsmanship, quality, and stability, this business offers a genuinely hands-on environment where your work makes a visible impact.

This is not a desk-only CAD role. You ll be involved from first drawing to finished product, working closely with the Works Manager and shop floor to turn architectural concepts into build-ready solutions.

• Producing high-quality 2D & 3D drawings (AutoCAD / Inventor)
• Interpreting architectural drawings and 3D visuals
• Designing with manufacture at the forefront
• Issuing approved drawings directly to production
• Supporting multiple bespoke projects end-to-end

Essential:

• Minimum 2 years  experience in a CAD / setting out role
• Experience designing for manufacture
• Knowledge of joinery and/or metalwork
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes
• Ability to translate architectural drawings into production-ready documents

Desirable:

• AutoCAD / Inventor experience
• Joinery background
• Proactive, can-do attitude
• Comfortable working to deadlines
