We are seeking a compassionate and motivated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Walsall. This is a full-time opportunity starting in March 2026, with the potential to become a permanent position for the right candidate.

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils with additional learning needs and helping them access the curriculum effectively.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Providing one-to-one and small group support for pupils with a range of special educational needs

* Supporting the class teacher with the delivery of engaging and differentiated lessons

* Adapting learning materials and activities to suit individual learning and behavioural needs

* Encouraging confidence, independence, and active participation in the classroom

* Working closely with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure consistent and effective support

The Ideal Candidate

* A graduate or final-year student from any subject background

* Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is beneficial but not essential, as training will be provided

* Patient, caring, and resilient, with a genuine passion for inclusive education

* A reliable and proactive team member with strong communication skills and a willingness to develop professionally

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position is previous experience working in a school setting.
