Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage the Maths Department, setting clear expectations and strategic direction.
- Deliver outstanding Maths lessons that promote engagement, challenge, and achievement.
- Design and implement an ambitious curriculum, integrating real‑world and cross‑curricular opportunities.
- Monitor and evaluate teaching, learning, and assessment, using data to drive improvement.
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment and support the diverse needs of learners.
- Lead enrichment activities, employer partnerships, and digital innovation within Maths.
- Celebrate student achievements and drive excellent outcomes for all.
- Qualified Teacher Status and a degree relevant to Mathematics.
- Successful teaching experience across Key Stages 4 and/or 5.
- Proven track record of excellent student outcomes in Mathematics.
- Experience of leading a subject or curriculum area and supporting colleagues.
- Strong knowledge of curriculum design, assessment, and national developments in Maths education.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.
- Ability to inspire, motivate, and lead others with clarity and purpose.
- Commitment to professional growth, inclusion, and safeguarding.
