We're supporting a welcoming and well-established college in Walsall that is seeking a dedicated Student Support Officer to join their team on a temporary basis
.

In this role, you'll be supporting 16-19-year-old learners
, helping them overcome barriers to learning and ensuring they have access to the guidance, support, and resources needed to succeed. This is a varied and rewarding role within a supportive, student-focused environment.

• Hourly rate up to £20 per hour
• Full-time hours
• Supportive management and collaborative team
• Temporary role with potential for extension

• Providing pastoral and academic support to students
• Monitoring attendance, behaviour, and engagement
• Supporting learners with additional needs
• Working closely with teaching staff, parents/carers, and support services
• Maintaining accurate student records and reports

• Previous experience in a student support, pastoral, or learner support role (education setting preferred)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with young people
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
