An established and growing roofing contractor based in Walsall is seeking an experienced Roofing Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join their expanding team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused professional to join a well-regarded specialist contractor delivering a range of roofing and cladding projects across the region. The RoleAs a Roofing Quantity Surveyor / Estimator, you will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of roofing projects from tender stage through to final account. You will work closely with internal teams and clients to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, within budget, and in line with contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Manage project costs from inception through to final account
- Prepare and submit interim valuations and agree final accounts
- Assist with tender preparation and bid submissions
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for roofing and cladding projects
- Ensure estimates meet safety standards, building regulations, and client specifications
- Support the preparation of comprehensive bid proposals
- Monitor project budgets and maintain strong commercial control across multiple projects
- Minimum 5+ years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry
- BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualification
- Strong knowledge of commercial processes, cost control, and contract administration
- Previous estimating experience within roofing and cladding projects
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and reporting skills
- Based in Walsall
- Travel to local and regional sites may be required
