We are seeking a highly organised and detail-driven Scheduler to join our Planned Maintenance team, focused on delivering fire compartmentation works across social housing properties. Working as part of a team in a busy environment assisting the operational team to schedule and plan works in a cost effective and organised way to ensure a quality service. This role is fully office based.
ResponsibilitesAs a scheduler you will be involved in planning, scheduling, and coordinating daily workloads for approximately 60 operatives, ensuring work is allocated based on location, skill set, and availability.
- Schedule and allocate fire compartmentation works to operatives based on trade specialism, qualifications, location, and availability.
- Ensure all scheduled works are delivered within agreed time frames, regulatory deadlines, and client expectations.
- Use scheduling and job management software to manage workflows, monitor performance, and make real-time adjustments to resource planning.
- Coordinate with administrators and the Contracts Manager to maintain accurate and up-to-date records of appointments, operative availability, and project progress.
- Communicate with residents to confirm appointments and minimise disruption during works.
- Monitor daily progress and reschedule jobs promptly in response to changes such as absenteeism, job overruns, or access issues.
- Manage multiple planned work streams and contracts simultaneously, adapting to varying requirements and priorities.
- Ensure compliance with fire safety regulations and documentation standards for all scheduled works.
- Provide regular updates and reports to the Contracts Manager on operative performance, outstanding work, and potential risks to delivery.
- Proven experience in scheduling or coordination within planned maintenance, property services, or construction - ideally related to fire safety or compliance works.
- Strong understanding of operative skill sets, qualifications (e.g. FIRAS or equivalent), and location-based scheduling logistics.
- Excellent IT skills with experience using scheduling software and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
- Organised and methodical approach with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a customer-focused mindset.
- Ability to prioritise and manage a high volume of tasks and adapt quickly to changing circumstances.
- Knowledge of fire safety regulations, compartmentation requirements, and compliance standards is highly desirable.
- Experience working in social housing or a highly regulated environment is advantageous.

Salary: £28,000 per annum
