The beauty advisor (BA) delivers an exceptional experience for all Ulta Beauty guests by engaging them, conducting cashier tasks, keeping fixtures stocked, maintaining overall store cleanliness, and completing assigned tasks. The BA supports leadership through focus on performance (service/retail sales and in‑store events), people (guest service), and process (operating procedures and compliance standards).

• Contribute to meeting or exceeding the store’s goals related to retail and service sales, guest loyalty (including credit), omni‑channel sales, and retail shrink.
• Ensure that each guest receives exceptional service by greeting and engaging each guest entering the store, personalizing service to their needs, answering questions, informing guests about promotions and sales, and recommending complementary Ulta Beauty products and/or services.
• Handle customer service, sales, refunds, exchanges, and assist with online orders courteously.
• Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations to drive sales and enhance the guest service experience.
• Book appointments for and support the execution of services and in‑store events that deliver an unrivaled guest experience while meeting sales goals.
• Stay informed about new and existing products and services, knowing ingredients and benefits to better serve guests.
• Maintain prompt, regular attendance.

• Contribute to an inclusive environment that supports teammates, peers, and guests.
• Share the benefits of the guest loyalty program, including credit and the Ulta Beauty app.
• Collaborate with managers and associates to help grow the business.
• Participate in ongoing training, including brand and category education.

• Be knowledgeable of and ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty’s policies, procedures, and standards.
• Adhere to Ulta Beauty’s dress code.
• Drive sales by keeping assigned work area replenished, signed, and faced, and ensuring testers are available.
• Maintain outstanding store standards and overall store cleanliness.
• Participate in merchandise resets, planograms, displays, inventory procedures, and shipment processing using Ulta Beauty’s technology.
• Protect company assets by following loss prevention best practices and providing exceptional guest service.
• Execute other operational tasks as directed.

• High school diploma preferred.

• 1 year of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience preferred.

• Passion for guest service and competency for selling.
• Proficiency with basic technology (e.g., Point of Sale system and Apple devices).
• Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Ability to troubleshoot.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Work a flexible schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Continuous mobility throughout the store during shift.
• Frequent standing, bending, pulling, pushing, reaching, and twisting.
• Continuous and/or frequent lifting, carrying, and/or moving up to 25 lbs.
• Continuous coordination and manipulation of objects.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $24.50 / Hour, with potential overtime. Full‑time positions are eligible for paid time off and benefits; part‑time positions are eligible for select benefits.
