Customs Compliance Fluency
The Customs Compliance Coordinator is a key member of the Customs Compliance Department, responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate processing of a high volume of customs clearances. This role serves as a liaison between customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders, supporting both compliance and operational excellence.
Role Responsibilities- Review onboarding documentation for accuracy; communicate with clients to resolve discrepancies and secure approvals or rejections.
- Respond promptly to customer and vendor inquiries related to customs clearance; provide follow-up to ensure timely issue resolution.
- Maintain effective communication with customers, carriers, and vendors to ensure smooth customs processes.
- Collaborate with customs brokers and internal teams on various compliance and clearance activities.
- Perform accurate and timely accounting functions, including billing generation and reconciliation.
- Act as the primary customer service liaison, ensuring a positive client experience.
- Maintain up-to-date customer profiles, reports, shipping documentation, and internal databases.
- Investigate and assist with resolving customer billing disputes in collaboration with relevant teams.
- Provide clerical and administrative support as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, or a related discipline.
- Proficiency in English and Mandarin (both written and spoken).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in customs brokerage or related compliance roles
. - Strong computer skills, including MS Excel, Google Sheets, Outlook, and PDF applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional business vocabulary.
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across stakeholders.
- Practical problem‑solving skills and adaptability to situations with limited standardization.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
