About UsBased in the SF Bay area we are a leader in our industry that provides full service for road and freeway projects from paving to sanitary, storm and water work. With numerous recognition and awards, our work has encompassed private schools, hotels, business parks, commercial developments, airports, and rapid transits. We are very close to securing one of our largest project and are actively seeking a Dispatcher.
Responsibilities- Support field operations by maintaining clear, timely, and efficient communication with field personnel, foremen, and superintendents while following established dispatch procedures.
- Foster company culture of diversity, teamwork, ethical conduct, and mutual respect by building positive working relationships with internal teams and external partners.
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and guidelines to protect the interests of the company and its employees.
- Promote and safeguard the company's reputation and community image.
- Proactively identify and resolve dispatch-related challenges or scheduling conflicts.
- Schedule and dispatch work crews, equipment, and service vehicles according to job site requests and operational priorities.
- Coordinate all equipment and transportation movements, including securing required permits.
- Arrange transportation for company-owned and rented equipment.
- Order, dispatch, and track rental equipment, ensuring accuracy and completeness of rental agreements prior to transport.
- Communicate work orders, messages, and critical information to field personnel and leadership.
- Monitor personnel and equipment locations and utilization to optimize scheduling and efficiency.
- Inform field personnel of traffic conditions, construction delays, accidents, weather issues, and other potential hazards.
- Coordinate with labor unions regarding workforce hiring and staffing needs.
- Maintain accurate dispatch records, transportation logs, and system data on a daily basis.

- Work Experience:
Minimum of three (3) years of union and/or construction dispatch experience required. - Education:
High school diploma or GED required. - Skills and
Competencies:- Working knowledge of union timekeeping, wage structures, and fringe benefit rules.
- Familiarity with construction equipment, trucking, materials, and their applications.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience With HCSS Dispatch Software preferred.
