Travel RN - Leadership - Infection Control Manager

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Infection Control Manager position requiring a CA RN license, CIC certification, and a BSN for a 26-week assignment across multiple hospital campuses.

Job Details

• Position is based in the Infection Prevention unit across three campuses, including two acute care hospitals and a behavioral health center,

• Shift is 8 hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM,

• 26-week contract,

Job Requirements

• Active California RN license required,

• CIC (Certification in Infection Control) required,

• BSN required,

• Minimum 3 years of acute care nursing experience required,

• Minimum 1 year of infection prevention experience required,

• Minimum 1 year of epidemiology or public health experience required,

• Two clinical references required from the last two places of employment, each from a leadership role (Nurse Manager or Director, with the second allowable from a Charge Nurse), including facility name, dates of employment, specialty, and the reference's name and title,

• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are considered local and qualify for a different pay structure,

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include daily monitoring of admissions, readmissions, isolation patients, MDROs, potential exposures, and reportable diseases,

• Participates in bed huddles, safety huddles, environment of care rounds, and department rounds,

• Provides just-in-time education to bedside staff during department rounds,

• Conducts infection surveillance, analysis, and reporting, and manages infection prevention projects,

• Coordinates the Infection Prevention Program through surveillance, education, and expert consultative services related to the prevention and control of infectious and communicable diseases and HAIs,

• Experience with infection prevention surveillance and reporting databases is preferred,

• Completion of CDPH-HAI (CA Dept of Public Health HAI training) is preferred,

• Travel nursing experience is preferred,

• Manager may conduct a video interview prior to extending an offer
