Job Description

The Data Analyst will gather and analyze data from various databases and sources, develop reports and visual representations, develop and/or maintain databases, and provide analytics and technical assistance to Network Services departments. The Data Analyst will add structure and context to data and information, transforming it into actionable insights via efficient presentation.

Education: Bachelor’s Required

Minimum number of years of experience required: 4 years

Top 3 - 5 Daily Responsibilities
  • Gather report requirements from key stakeholders and manage their expectations accordingly.
  • Develop and deliver new reporting capabilities, including ad-hoc requests.
  • Provide coherent data analysis through clear and concise dashboards.
  • Design and develop end-to-end ETLs based on business needs.
    • Top 3 - 5 Required Skills
  • Six months to a year experience with Tableau Desktop.
  • 4 years of experience on Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 (stored procedures, views, reporting services, creating and scheduling jobs, etc).
  • 4 years of experience in BI XI environment (creating queries, scheduling, custom SQL coding).
  • MS Excel high level of proficiency.
    • Desired Skills
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2.
  • Some basic experience on Microsoft SharePoint 2013.
  • Previous hands-on experience building reports out of BMC Remedy database/data mart.
    • Soft Skills
  • Ability to work on a team and work towards team goals.
  • Comfortable working on a virtual team.
  • Good listening skills:
    Ability to work with others to solicit and understand business requirements.
  • A track record of innovation/accomplishments.
