Compensation: Starting Rate: $25.00 per hour
The Admissions Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring a smooth and welcoming transition for new residents and their families. In this leadership-oriented support role, you will facilitate the admissions process and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide an efficient, organized, and empathetic experience for every individual entering our care.
Responsibilities- Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective residents, families, hospitals, and referral sources, building trust from the very first interaction.
- Admissions Oversight: Coordinate and schedule resident admissions, managing all pre-admission assessments and essential documentation.
- Financial & Insurance Coordination: Manage insurance verifications, authorizations, and financial eligibility processes to ensure a clear path for coverage.
- Facility Tours: Lead facility tours and act as an ambassador for Shadelands, providing detailed information to prospective residents and community partners.
- Seamless Transitions: Collaborate closely with nursing, social services, and administrative staff to ensure that every resident's admission experience is seamless and high-quality.
- Regulatory Compliance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with federal, state, and facility regulations.
- Outreach & Follow-Up: Maintain consistent communication with hospitals, physicians, and case managers to ensure timely transfers of information and support broader marketing efforts.

- Experience: Prior experience in admissions, healthcare, or a long-term care setting is strongly preferred.
- Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance verification processes.

Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. - Communication: Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to handle sensitive information with extreme professionalism and confidentiality.
- Detail-Oriented: Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to focus in a busy, dynamic environment.
