Pay Range: $80 per clinical hour, $18 per administrative hour
Position Summary: This role is to provide high quality therapy services to clients, helping them to improve their mental health and sense of empowerment. Therapist will conduct intake assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide individual, family, and/or group therapy to support clients’ emotional, behavioral, and relational well‑being.
In addition to direct client care, the Licensed Mental Health Therapist will maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards. The position requires active participation in supervision, team meetings, and ongoing professional development to strengthen clinical skills and ensure adherence to best practices.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities- Conducts intake assessments, diagnosis, treatment and crisis intervention services;
- Provides outpatient psychotherapy to individuals, couples or groups in-person and virtual;
- Coordinates care with mutual community providers
- Completes all assigned marketing tasks to a high-quality standard and within the established deadlines.
- Participates in clinical supervision and consults with clinical supervisor regarding clients progress and treatment;
- Completes documentation in a timely manner using Simple Practice EHR;
- Reports safety concerns to mandated agencies;
- Provides clinical case management by providing internal or community referrals to support clients;
- Prepares intake summaries, treatment plans, and case summaries and maintains ongoing confidential records;
- Is responsible for scheduling & managing their own appointments, and all the necessary clinical and financial-related paperwork. Therapist can access Client Care Coordinator for support in scheduling and administrative tasks.
- Attends Team Meetings, including General All Staff, Clinical Team, and Individual Supervision
- Is evaluated periodically by Empowered Mind Therapy Center, for performance management and professional alignment purposes.
- Grievances will be handled per the Non-Discrimination and Grievance Policy. The Therapist has been provided a copy of this policy.
- Agrees to abide by the rules and regulations set forth by all facilities where the Therapist conducts their therapeutic sessions, including but not limited to any COVID-19 protocols.
- Is responsible for being cognizant of respectfully observing the rules, regulations, responsibilities, as set forth by Empowered Mind Therapy Center.
- Stays current with the regulations, policies, and procedures set forth by the BBS other psychological association that the Therapist is affiliated with.
- Masters degree in Social Work, Social Welfare from a clinical track, Clinical or Counseling Psychology or related field required from an accredited college or university by start date;
- Active Registration:
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (California) from State of California Board of Behavioral Sciences OR Professional Clinical Counselor Registration (California) from State of California Board of Behavioral Sciences OR Licensed Clinical Social Worker (California) from State of California Board of Behavioral Sciences. - Provides Empowered Mind Therapy Center with a copy of her/his current license/intern registration certificate with the California State Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) or other psychological association that the Therapist is affiliated with and post it in her/his office when meeting with clients.
- Compliance with all laws and regulations, and ethical standards including those of the California Board of Behavioral Sciences regarding the practice of marriage and family therapy, including ability to provide services to clients in an ethical, legal, and professional manner, both in person and online;
- Familiar with DSM‑V, and thorough understanding of human behavior, various behavioral and affective disorders, and the diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of these disorders;
- Experience assessing, diagnosing, and providing psychotherapy;
