Base pay range
$21.00/hr - $24.00/hr
What you’ll do- As a Behavior Technician at BTS, you’ll work 1:1 with children with autism or developmental delays to build communication, social, play, and daily living skills through structured, play-based activities. Sessions take place in the child’s home, clinic, or school, lasting 2–3 hours. We tailor your caseload to fit your availability and match you with age groups you’re comfortable with, from toddlers to teens.
- Delivering one-on-one behavior support through fun, individualized activities
- Implementing behavior intervention plans designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs)
- Collecting and recording data on client progress accurately
- Communicating regularly with families to provide updates and support
- Participating in ongoing training, team meetings, and supervision sessions
- Minimum of 6 months of experience working with children with neurodevelopmental disabilities, preferably in an ABA or behavioral health setting. Relevant direct-care experience, including supporting children with neurodiverse needs or caring for a family member in a similar capacity, will also be thoughtfully considered.
- Positive, enthusiastic attitude and a passion for working with children
- Spanish-speaking is highly preferred
- Experience with children or individuals with disabilities is a plus, but not required
- Highly preferred:
Current student or recent graduate in Psychology, Early Childhood Education, Sociology, Biology, or related field - RBT certification is a plus, but we will cover the cost of obtaining it
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively
- Reliability and a willingness to work with a variety of clients
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Experience with children is a plus, but not required
- Reliable transportation and a driver's license
- If using your vehicle for work, an auto insurance policy with your name on it
- If no driver's license, a government-issued
- CPR & First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain during onboarding)
- TB test (within 90 days), MMR & Varicella Immunization, and a Pre-employment Physical (within the past year)
- Background check (FBI & DOJ)
- Competitive pay: $21–$24/hour, based on experience. Pay increase after you get your RBT certification
- Mileage reimbursement between client homes

- All new behavior technicians are required to get RBT certified within 90 days. 40 hours of paid training and exam cost coverage if you pass on the first try
