Summary

We’re looking for a Principal level ML/AI engineer who will focus on Audio & Acoustics to build ultra low‑latency audio and speech enhancement models for next‑generation ANC hearables. You’ll work with ML, acoustics, and DSP experts to advance audio capture, hearing enhancement, and real‑world device performance.

What you’ll do:

• Build and evaluate deep learning models for speech enhancement, noise suppression, separation, dereverberation, and classification.
• Support data collection, curation, preprocessing, and augmentation.
• Prototype models in Python (PyTorch/Tensor Flow) and validate against audio datasets.
• Optimize models for embedded/mobile deployment (quantization, pruning, compression).
• Partner with acoustics engineers to integrate ML with microphones, speakers, and arrays.
• Assist with lab measurements, testing, and performance benchmarking.
• Document model design decisions and results.

What you bring:

• PhD or research‑heavy background
• First‑author publications in audio ML / audio‑language modeling
• Experience in research labs or audio industry
• Interdisciplinary background across EE, CS, signal processing, and ML

Domain Experience (Audio AI / Audio Reasoning)

• Audio foundation models
• Generative audio
• Audio tokenization & representation learning
• Multimodal transformers
• Audio-language/text alignment
• Audio models that reason with language models
• Experience with speech enhancement, separation, or audio ML tasks.
• Experience with on‑device/edge ML (TinyML, quantization).
• Data labeling/augmentation or large‑scale training pipeline experience.
• Strong C/C++ for deployment.
• Solid grounding in traditional acoustics & audio DSP
