Position: DBS0930/26 - EHA and Attendance Support Worker - Beacon Hill School

Are you passionate about removing barriers to education and supporting the wellbeing of children with additional needs? Beacon Hill School is a thriving 3-19 special school dedicated to providing an inclusive and supportive environment for our pupils. We are seeking a dedicated EHA and Attendance Support Worker to join our safeguarding and welfare team. In this vital position, you will work within the admin team and be a key link between home, school, and external partners.

Working under the direction of the leadership team to improve pupil attendance and assist in the delivery of Early Help interventions, ensuring our students and their families receive the right support at the right time.

Responsibilities
  • Work within the admin team:
    Undertake general admin duties within the school office when required.
  • Support the EHA Process:
    Assisting in identifying needs, attending meetings, and monitoring progress for families under the Early Help framework.
  • Improve Attendance:
    Monitoring data, identifying trends, and working closely with families to overcome challenges to school engagement.
  • Safeguarding

    Collaboration:

    Working closely with the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) to ensure all welfare concerns are managed effectively and in line with school policy.
Qualifications
  • Has experience working within a special school or similar SEND setting.
  • Exhibits exceptional communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Can navigate complex situations with sensitivity and professionalism.
  • Is committed to the safeguarding and welfare of children and young people.
  • Enhanced criminal records check from the Disclosure and Barring Service is required for all posts.
