Description
Connecticut Foodshare is seeking full time CDL Driver/Warehouse Specialist for our Wallingford Facility with a Class A License. The team member will be responsible for deliveries and pick ups of Wallingford & Bloomfield campus food. Position will be assigned to the Wallingford facility. Reports to the Director of Fleet Operations.
Responsibilities- Makes safety a priority and obeys all DOT and state laws and regulations
- Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections on electronic tablet
- Maintains Hours of Service with electronic log
- Loads and unloads trucks and trailers with electric pallet jack
- Safely operates a 4,000 pound capacity lift gate
- Assist in all warehouse functions as required including order selection and cleaning as needed
- Contributes to a positive work environment with a commitment to social justice
- Performs other duties as assigned by management.
- High School Diploma/GED
- General knowledge of DOT and Connecticut laws and regulations as they apply to safe operation of trucks
- Experience operating fork lifts, powered pallet jacks and other motorized and non-motorized warehouse equipment
- CT CDL Class A Required
- Clearance on the Federal Safety Motor Carrier Administration (FSMCA) Clearinghouse
- Safe driving record
- Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds frequently (product) and up to 81lbs 12 times a day (truck lift gate)
- Communicates effectively with managers and coworkers
