• Ensure financial sustainability by compiling and reporting budget information, requesting replacement HVAC equipment, and reviewing warranty claims.
• Complete HVACR service assignments using company policies and resources, collaborating with management, coworkers, customers, and partners to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, building codes, indoor air quality, cold‑chain requirements, OSHA, EPA, and Walmart HVACR safety policy.
• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance on HVACR equipment; manage district workloads with external service providers.
• Track refrigerant levels and parts inventory, order supplies, and establish relationships with suppliers and contractors.
• Provide required paperwork, including expense vouchers, refrigerant logs, and work orders.
• Deliver expert advice and guidance to colleagues, supporting business solutions and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Promote Walmart values of integrity, respect, and customer focus through mentoring, collaboration, and compliance with company policies.

• Vocational or Technical HVAC/R certification with 2–4 years of mechanical maintenance or construction experience in commercial HVAC/R or building controls.
• Type I/Type II EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
• Preferred: completion of a 2‑year HVAC/R program and a mechanical license in the relevant state or city.
