Location: This role requires associates to be in-office 3 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. General Manager of Emerging Behavioral Health Solutions is responsible for defining, building, and scaling a portfolio of new behavioral health solutions that address high‑need, high‑impact areas across the continuum of care. This role will initially focus on launching an Autism solution designed to improve affordability, with the opportunity to expand into additional behavioral health solutions over time and build a dedicated team.
Acting as a strategic business owner, this associate will drive end‑to‑end solution development, aligning key levers including shaping clinical and operational model, network strategy, and payment design. This leader will partner closely with Clinical, Network, Product, Technology, and Client Delivery teams to ensure solutions deliver measurable improvements in quality, access, and affordability.
- Develops Carelon Behavioral Health autism solution strategy in partnership with product, clinical, network, and other core stakeholders.
- Provides comprehensive financial, analytic, and business insight across Carelon Behavioral Health autism solution.
- Conduct analysis of market trends and consumer needs to guide strategic direction and assess the value of initiatives.
- Collaborate with product teams to advance risk products through all phases of the product lifecycle management process.
- Investigates and manages internal and external issues, to include provider issues, clinical issues, and other inquiries.
- May provide leadership and/or oversight of projects, project teams and/or external consultants.
Requires a BA/BS degree in a related area and a minimum of 10 years of increasingly responsible business and professional experience including 3 years of leadership experience in a related field; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities, And Experience- Master's degree preferred.
- Behavioral health experience is strongly preferred.
- Work experience in healthcare strategy, partnership development, value‑based strategy, and/or product development is preferred.
- Exceptional strategic thinking, decision‑making, problem‑solving skills, and adaptability highly preferred.
- Experience interacting confidently with senior management and executive level stakeholders, as a subject matter expert and comfortable with influencing decision‑making preferred.
- Experience and knowledge of data analytics, project management, project execution, process improvement and change management experience (strategic and execution) strongly preferred.
- Excellent written, oral, presentation and interpersonal communication skills with the proven ability to negotiate expectations between multiple parties strongly preferred.
