Substation Senior Civil/Structural Engineer

Leidos Engineering is seeking a Licensed Senior Civil/Structural Engineer with 6+ years of experience in a utility or utility consulting company. The candidate must have a strong educational background in steel structures, concrete structures, geotechnical engineering, and foundations. Experience reviewing substation structure design, rigid bus design, foundation design, oil spill containment design, retaining walls, masonry control shelters, and firewalls is required.

This position consists of performing design reviews of the aforementioned civil/structural components in support of bid/construction packages for substation projects. The candidate will primarily function as a senior engineer performing design reviews on a regular basis, develop junior staff members, and contribute to bids and proposal development. The role will also include taking a responsible engineer role on main client projects, overseeing work, ensuring quality control, and site‑visits to client substation facilities.

Occasional travel for client meetings and industry events is expected.

• Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Civil-Structural Engineering – Required
• PE Licensure – Required
• Experience with Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint & MATHCAD – Required
• Experience with STAAD.Pro, RISA 3D, FAD Tools, SAFE, SAG
  10, and L-Pile – Required
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and Micro Station – Required

Pay Range: $73,450.00 - $
