Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic 1 (MM1)
Location: Snoqualmie, WA
Salary: $4,653 - $5,398 Monthly (plus an additional 5% premium pay for employees working in King County or an on‑site 24/7 facility)

The Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) is accepting applications for a Maintenance Mechanic 1 to join our team to perform a variety of skilled trades.

• Perform minor repairs on building fixtures, plumbing, heating, laundry, kitchen equipment, motors, and electrical appliances.
• Perform semi‑skilled work in carpentry, plumbing, steam fitting, electrical, mechanical and machinist work.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and other shop equipment as needed.
• Assist in the fabrication of equipment and materials constructed in trade shops in accordance with project requirements.

• Two years of general work experience in building and equipment maintenance, construction, or repair work.
• The ability to take action to learn and grow.
• The ability to take action to meet the needs of others.
• A current Washington State driver’s license.
• Knowledge of practices, methods, materials, tools, and equipment used in mechanical trades; safety precautions.
• Ability to work from verbal descriptions, blueprints, construction drawings, plans, and sketches; estimate materials and time needed to complete the assigned job.
• Ability to effectively communicate with management, peers, clients, and the public as required.
