Position: POLICE OFFICER with Security Clearance
Duties
* You will respond to and investigate complaints while interpreting and enforcing state and federal laws, the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ), DoD and Navy regulations, and installation directives.
* You will respond immediately, assesses and report situation, and conduct mitigating actions and preliminary investigations.
* You will perform traffic law enforcement using specialized equipment such as radar, breathalyzer, and must be qualified/certified in these specialized areas and on the necessary equipment.
* You will set up and conduct checkpoints/roadblocks at various locations throughout the installation in support of Random Anti-terrorism Measures (RAMS) and to reduce criminal activity and ensure motor vehicle safety.
* You will use computer equipment and specialized web-based law enforcement programs to fuse intelligence and establish, update, query or print individual or vehicle registration and other law enforcement sensitive information.
* You will detect and investigate unusual situations/conditions; take required action to resolve various incidents/situations and request additional support, if necessary. Requirements Conditions of employment

* Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

* Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

* This is a bargaining unit position.
* You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
* You must meet the qualifications and be certified to carry a firearm. You will need to maintain firearm proficiency.
* You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
* This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
* Employee is required to wear an assigned uniform and display official designated items or accessories to include additional required equipment. The employee must follow and adhere to applicable grooming standards for the installation.
* You will be required to be CPR certified and utilize a portable heart defibrillator where available.
* Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
* You will be required to pass a physical agility test (PAT) prior to onboarding date and annually.
* You will be required to meet OPM hearing and vision requirement to include distinguishing basic shades of color.
* You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license.
* This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. You will be required to sign a DD-Form-2760, Qualification to possess firearms or ammunition.
* You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination. Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-4 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
* Experience applying law enforcement procedures, regulations, and operations to perform routine and recurring kinds of fixed post assignments
* Experience preparing police reports concerning incidents and actions taken
* Experience responding to emergency calls for service while adhering to state and federal laws
