OverviewWe are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN2) to provide professional nursing care at Echo Glen Children’s Center, a juvenile rehabilitation facility in the Loop, Snoqualmie, WA. The RN will handle emergency medical situations, serve as a liaison between the community and residents, and support the integrated treatment plans for youth committed to the facility.
Work Hours & LocationLocation:
Snoqualmie, WA. Shift types include various hospital‑style rotations with on‑call positions typically pre‑scheduled with variable shift times.
- Provide professional nursing services, including direct patient care such as assessment, evaluation, diagnosis, and interventions for medical and/or psychiatric conditions.
- Perform initial medical screening for youth at intake and implement infection control, VFC vaccination, and employee health & wellness programs.
- Educate and counsel youth, families, and staff regarding medical and mental health care.
- Conduct pre‑ and post‑HIV test counseling, including STI education and the Making Proud Choices curriculum.
- Manage medical case for youth with chronic or acute conditions; coordinate care with non‑medical agency staff.
- Document and file medical records, schedule appointments, and perform basic data entry using an electronic management information system.
- Administer medications per physician orders and monitor medication assistance.
- Provide first aid and emergency medical response for residents, visitors, and staff.
- Current Washington State license to practice as a registered professional nurse.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program and at least one year of professional nursing experience.
- Ability to act independently as an RN with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication skills and commitment to professional growth.
- Minimum two years of nursing experience.
- Experience leading or supervising nursing staff.
- Prior work experience in a Juvenile Rehabilitation Facility.
