LPN - Hospice

This is a 13-week contract position.

8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with possible weekend shifts and on-call responsibilities.

The Hospice Nurse is responsible for the total direct nursing care of all hospice patients within established standards of hospice care, which includes admission, case management, and float nurse responsibilities. The Hospice Nurse acts as a liaison between patients, families, community partners, and referral sources, as well as Walla Walla Community Hospice. The nurse may float between assignments based on patient care needs.

• Deliver compassionate nursing care to hospice patients.
• Manage patient admissions and case management.
• Serve as a liaison among patients, families, and community partners.
• Float between assignments as needed based on patient care requirements.

• Minimum of 1 year of current Hospice LPN or Clinical Triage experience.
• Active Washington or Compact nursing license (required).
• American Health Association BLS certification (required).
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance (required).
• Acute/Medical-Surgical nursing experience is highly preferred.
