Hybrid/Telework:
This position may include telework options up to two (2) days per week; however, the successful candidate must be available to report to the duty station a minimum of three (3) days per week.
This role offers an opportunity to shape how HR data supports the agency’s work now and moving into the future. The HR Data Team Supervisor provides team leadership for HR data integrity and processes within the state’s Human Resource Management System (HRMS).

- HR Data Administration:
Serve as a senior-level expert performing sensitive, complex, and critical HR and workforce data management tasks. Maintain databases, data warehouses, and BI systems and applications. - Research and analysis of state and federal laws, civil service rules, agency policies, enterprise guidance, and CBAs.
- Produce agency-wide customer reports, multi-layered queries, pivot tables and charts for Executive Management, HR, and occasionally the public across HR program areas.
- Provide leadership and direction for HRMS-related personnel and organizational management actions to ensure data integrity and consistent use of authorizing sources.
- Provide data consultation regarding finished products to internal clients at all levels.
- Monitor data quality and collaborate to identify and implement improvements in data quality.
- Supervise and mentor staff, including planning, assigning, prioritizing, reviewing, and evaluating work; support performance expectations and HRMS training.
- Coordinate with the HRC2 Lead to ensure HRC1 staff are trained and proficient in keying data.
- Facilitate monthly HR program support unit meetings to discuss data cleanup projects, best practices, training demonstrations, policy analysis, and guidance from OFM, WTS, DES, unions, and the Attorney General’s Office.
- Prepare for the upcoming Work Day implementation by assisting with process development, documentation, workflow development, data cleanup, and training for HR and agency employees.
- Opportunity to learn and/or exercise change management skills as WDFW adapts to Work Day.
- Provide expert consultation, advice, and strategy regarding all agency personnel and organizational management actions to HR staff and agency partners.
Work is performed in an office setting. Schedule includes full-time 40 hours per week with occasional evening or weekend work as needed.
TravelSome travel may be required throughout the State to attend training, meetings, and conferences.
Customer InteractionsFrequent interaction with WDFW staff and supervisors from all programs, delivering excellent customer service as part of leading the HR division to success.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications:
Option 1
- Five (5) years of human resource experience, including HRMS/HRIS and reporting.
Option 2
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Public Administration, Computer Science or HRIS, or a related field.
- AND
- Three (3) years of human resource experience, including HRMS/HRIS and reporting.
In addition, each option requires:
- Two (2) years of professional experience in data management and related competencies, including data analysis, standards development, data collection, reporting, and audits.
- Leadership/supervisory duties including conflict resolution, training and development, and performance management.
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook).
Two or more years in the following areas: data reporting and analysis;
Workday HCM/ERP; creating and modifying multi-level queries; HR policies and laws. One or more years in: desk manual development; experience with NEOGOV, SAP, other ATS; relational databases; training design and delivery.
