Membership and Hospitality Coordinator

We are looking for an experienced professional to work alongside other FT and PT/seasonal employees in delivering an exceptional experience to our Members and other guests, as well as assisting in other aspects of operating a small boutique winery as needed. Having produced wine with a growing loyal following since 2001, the 2021 launch of our Allocation List Membership has resulted in the entirety of the winery’s annual production being allocated to Members for the foreseeable future.

Therefore, this position will focus on keeping our existing Members delighted with their experience at Garrison Creek, while also acquiring new signups for our Membership waiting list. The ideal candidate will have hospitality and relevant wine industry experience, a professional and friendly manner, excellent attention to detail and analytical skills, and be willing to pitch in with whatever needs doing.

Work will be primarily performed in person at the winery, and the hourly schedule will vary with the season and the winery’s needs, generally 4 days/week. This is an ideal position for an experienced professional who wants to work at a top-notch winery with a small, collaborative team.

• Assist in processing Spring and Fall Member wine shipments in our POS system
• Work on logistical planning for shipping/packing orders, including ordering packaging, ensuring adequate wine inventory, and arranging carrier pickups
• Conducting analyses as needed for inventory planning, new Member onboarding and retention, and related ad-hoc projects
• Being a regular point of contact for Members, handling customer service throughout the year via phone and email
• Taking appointments over the phone and via email
• Assisting other staff with monthly inventory reconciliation
• Driving Membership waitlist signups through personal sales efforts in the tasting room, as well as through managing other part time tasting room staff
• Leading tours/tastings, including hosting facility tours, providing barrel samples, serving charcuterie, and pouring wine while providing an intimate and educational experience
• General tasting room setup, including preparing charcuterie platters
• Assisting with wine work and harvest activities as needed, such as racking, bottling, sorting fruit, punch downs etc.
• Other light cleaning, organizational tasks, and errands as needed

• College degree preferred
• Proficiency with web and app-based POS programs, Commerce7 a plus
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and other common business applications
• Prior hospitality or wine experience required, wine club manager or similar previous experience is a major plus
• A genuine interest in, and commitment to, providing exceptional service
• Attention to detail, a sense of urgency, and a critical eye for presentation
• Must have weekend availability from March-November
• Must be 21+ and already have, or be willing and able to acquire, a MAST permit
• Must be able to lift, push, and pull 40+ lbs.
• Must be willing and able to help with most tasks related to running a small winery

With its first vintage dating from 2001, Garrison Creek Cellars is a gravity flow winery, located in a 45 foot timber-framed barn in the middle of our 300-acre estate Les Collines Vineyard in the Walla Walla Valley of southeastern Washington. The winery, owned and operated by the Murr family, produces handcrafted wines in small lots. With total production less than 1500 cases, the winery focuses primarily on Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, with several other small-lot wines made each year as well.

Consistent 4-5 year aging before release with 100% new French oak produces muscular wines that are approachable at release, but built to age.
