Overview
A Patient Care Coordinator supports clinic operations by performing receptionist and clerical duties. The role schedules patients, obtains required documentation, coordinates aspects of patient care to ensure continuity, and performs prior authorizations when necessary. The coordinator promotes teamwork and reflects the mission and values of the facility.
Responsibilities- Schedule patient appointments and manage patient access.
- Obtain necessary documentation and coordinate patient care activities.
- Perform prior authorizations and other revenue cycle tasks as required.
- Collaborate with the clinical team to promote a patient‑focused, whole‑person care culture.
- Customer service experience.
- 6 months office experience in a medical setting or recent medical field experience.
- 6 months experience with an Electronic Medical Record or Practice Management system.
