Patient Sitter

Overview

The Patient Attendant functions under the direct supervision of the Department Manager. The Patient Attendant is responsible for performing tasks to ensure that the assigned patient(s) remain safe, including close observation to maintain patient safety, comfort, and a safe patient care environment. Basic patient care tasks may be delegated by the Registered Nurse, Nurse Manager, or Delegate. The Patient Attendant will document all patient observation and care activities and may perform non-direct patient care duties as assigned.

Part-time, 24 hours weekly, Day shift

• Observe patients as required to maintain safety and comfort and a safe care environment.
• Document all patient observation and care activities.
• Perform non-direct patient care duties as assigned.

Posted are the minimum and maximum wage rates for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range will be determined based on relevant job experience and other factors. This is the base pay range; additional compensation may be available such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
