Overview
The Department of Corrections Mappedly is seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual for the role of Psychology Associate at the Monroe Correctional Complex (MCC) located just northeast of the Seattle area in Washington. The Psychology Associate functions as a Primary Therapist within the assigned area of responsibility, providing assessment, diagnostic, treatment, and crisis services for incarcerated and violator individuals with mental health conditions.

Duties- Provide mental health treatment and case management for incarcerated and violator patients.
- Conduct intake assessments using agency‑designated forms and documents.
- Provide follow‑up assessments for patients requiring continued services.
- Diagnose presenting concerns per DSM and determine treatment criteria per WADOC Health Plan.
- Develop treatment plans informed by MHU/MHA.
- Deliver evidence‑based treatment.
- Provide transition and release planning.
- Complete documentation for all contacts per policy and protocol.
- Conduct regular mental health rounds.
- Crisis intervention.
- Respond to mental‑health emergencies across the institution.
- Complete suicide risk assessments promptly and determine admission to COA when clinically appropriate.
- Provide crisis de‑escalation services.
- Communicate crisis resolutions and follow‑up plans to stakeholders.
- Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Complete ITJS, job screening, and incoming transport screenings.
- Particip্রীশ্ত participade in classification and transfer decisions.
- Work closely in an integrated team of corrections, classification, administrative, and health services staff.
- Other duties as assigned, including participation in Involuntary Anti-psychotic Medication hearings on a rotational basis as chair or lay advisor.

- Required Qualifications
- Licensed Agency Affiliated Counselor (LAAC). Applicants must be able to apply for the LAAC license within 30 days of hire.
- Higher level DOH mental health licenses may be considered.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in Psychology from an accredited institution, or a Master's degree in Psychology and at least two years of post‑master's supervision experience.
- At least one year of experience providing individual and group therapies independently.
- Experience linking clients with resources within institutional and community settings.
- Experience working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team.
- Official Washington State licensure as a Mental Health Clinician.
