DSHS ESA Customer Service Specialist 2
Position located in Lakewood, WA at the Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS).
Job OverviewWe are currently seeking a Customer Service Specialist 2 to join our team here at the Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) in Lakewood, WA.
Responsibilities- Interact positively and respectfully with external and internal customers either by telephone, electronically or face to face to address their needs.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries, assess circumstances and utilize agency programs to research and deliver accurate information.
- Issue EBT cards, bus passes, gift cards, and vouchers to authorized customers and explain how to use them.
- Maintain accurate logs for negotiables.
- Interpret agency policy and procedures and resolve issues by applying knowledge of laws and regulations.
- Provide guidance and general information services for all customers.
• Associate degree AND two years of experience providing assistance to customers regarding inquiries, complaints, or problems.
• OR a Bachelor’s degree; OR equivalent experience providing assistance to customers regarding inquiries, complaints or problems.
Required skills:
quick learner, team player, self‑starter, and the ability to work with all walks of life.
In‑person, office 5 days a week Monday through Friday from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
