Technician, Process (M-F)

West Pharmaceutical Services is seeking a Process Technician to support our Process Engineering Team with modifications, validations, and enhancements of process equipment and tooling for both new and existing product lines. This role ensures safety, quality, and throughput while contributing to continuous improvement in our manufacturing processes.

The Process Technician will work closely with Process Engineering to implement equipment qualifications, support process changes, and maintain compliance with cGMP, ISO, and CE regulations.

• Support key activities within the Process Engineering department.
• Assist with the execution of equipment and process qualifications as required.
• Read and understand validation documentation, protocols, and summary reports.
• Implement equipment and/or process changes following the change control process.
• Participate in continuous improvement of quality, service, HSE, and cost.
• Contribute to modifications, improvements, or validations of existing or new products, processes, tooling, and equipment.
• Review processes continuously to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Work closely with Process Engineering on the introduction of new equipment or technology.
• Assist with trouble‑shooting improvements in production when required.
• Review and safeguard process engineering documentation and confidential information.
• Ensure new processes and improvements conform to cGMP, ISO, CE, and legal requirements.
• Support the Global Process Engineering group and implement Global PE initiatives at the local level.
• Maintain compliance with local, regional, and best‑practice HSE requirements and authority regulations.
• Keep the Process Engineering manager advised of any unusual situations that might impair safety, quality, or production output.
• Transfer process knowledge to the Operations Group as required.
• Act in accordance with the company’s Guiding Principles and corporate Code of Conduct.
• Comply with all local site Environmental, Health, and Safety regulations and company policies.

• Education
  :
  Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related scientific area preferred.
• Experience
  : 2+ years in a similar position within the regulated manufacturing industry.
• Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  :
  • Basic knowledge of Lean 6 Sigma and continuous improvement principles.
  • Experience with process and equipment validation protocols and associated documentation.
  • Understanding of CAPA systems and formal problem‑solving tools.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Highly analytical and structured approach to work.
  • Self‑motivated, results‑oriented personality.
• Certifications
  :
  Yellow Belt in Lean Six Sigma or higher an advantage; cGMP experience is an advantage.

10% travel:
Up to 26 business days per year.

Physical:
Light‑exerting up to 20lbs (9kg) force frequently and occasional negligible force to move objects.
