Position Summary

The Full-Time Associate assists the store management with daily operations, including providing excellent customer service, driving sales, merchandising, and other responsibilities as assigned. Activities should be performed professionally, courteously, reliably, and results-oriented.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Build customer relationships through professional, courteous, attentive, honest, and responsive service. Assist customers in selecting products that meet their needs.
  • Display basic fashion and trend knowledge to satisfy customer needs and promote merchandise sales while maintaining DTLR standards.
  • Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
  • Maintain a positive attitude towards work and the company.
  • Enforce all company policies.
  • Participate in service training and product programs.
  • Help monitor and address issues related to store loss or inconsistencies to meet shrinkage goals.
  • Ensure operational compliance, safety, and business standards.
  • Support training of employees in selling and merchandising techniques.
  • Minimize inventory shrinkage by preventing shoplifting and internal theft, following loss prevention policies.
  • Follow proper point of sale procedures, balance cash, and investigate discrepancies.
  • Keep management informed of important developments and potential problems.
  • Maintain a neat and organized sales environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • A standard work week is 35-40 hours.
  • Qualifications

    To perform successfully, the employee must meet the following requirements:

    Education and/or Experience

    • Retail or customer service experience preferred but not required.
    • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

    Skills and Knowledge

    • Excellent command of English for communication with management, customers, and staff.
    • Leadership skills and ability to work independently.
    • Flexible availability to meet business needs.
    • Basic fashion and style trend knowledge.
    • Proven ability to work in a team and understand customer needs.
    • Willingness to work across multiple stores within the district.

    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Reliable transportation required.

    Compensation

    Hourly pay: $16.00 - $17.00. Eligible for company 401K plan.
