Med Star Health Urgent Care is looking for experienced emergency medicine, urgent care, or family medicine physicians, physician assistants/nurse practitioners. Advanced Practice Providers work autonomously with supportive physician mentorship. Providers are assigned to a region but can set preferences for their top sites.
We are looking for providers to manage acute walk-in urgent cases and minor procedures. Procedures include, but are not limited to, suturing, fracture care/splinting, I&Ds, interpreting EKGs, and wet reading X-rays (all films are read by a radiologist). We have an on-site, low-complexity lab for point of care testing, most sites have a full x-ray suite and amazing support staff. We are open 12 hours daily and shift lengths may vary.
As part of the Med Star Health System, we strive to offer patients personalized care in our community-based offices, as well as access to the latest medical advances and treatments available throughout our system. Our providers have on site access to pediatric, emergency medicine and cardiologist teleconsultant providers, so they are always supported. Med Star s network of nine emergency departments, broad network of primary care and sub-specialists gives our patients excellent continuity of care.
Our referral management program also supports our patients in assisting with obtaining quick access to primary care and specialist follow up.
- Manage acute walk-in urgent cases and perform minor procedures as part of urgent care and emergency medicine practice.
- Perform procedures including suturing, fracture care/splinting, I&Ds, and interpretation of EKGs.
- Read X-ray films (radiologist reads all films); operate with on-site, low-complexity point-of-care lab.
- Collaborate with a support staff and work within a region-based assignment, with the option to set site preferences.
- Benefit from on-site access to pediatric, emergency medicine and cardiologist teleconsultants for decision support.
- Experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, or family medicine.
- Physicians, Physician Assistants, and Nurse Practitioners considered.
- Ability to work autonomously with physician mentorship as part of Med Star Health System.
- Hiring range: $224,640 - $291,200 (Physicians)
- Hiring range: $121,680 - $174,720 (Physician Assistants/Nurse Practitioners)
