Are you looking for a reliable, steady role with weekly pay and a great team environment? We're recruiting Waste Collection Operatives to join the Refuse & Recycling service in Wakefield, supporting local council district residents, business and commercial waste collections and unwanted household waste removals.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys hands‑on work, being outdoors, and contributing to an essential community service.

To work as part of a multi‑disciplinary team working throughout the borough delivering council services and responding to community priorities ensuring that the household waste collection service is completed daily

• To undertake operational duties in all weathers, which will involve a wide range of physically and mentally demanding tasks.
• To work under the guidance of the driver and supervisor in conjunction with the use of personal initiative to deliver services to a professional standard and within agreed guidelines.
• To work to agreed schedules, standards and where necessary respond positively to new initiatives as required or directed by your line managers ensuring all targets are met.
• To comply with Health and Safety, Customer Care, Dignity at Work and other relevant legislation, policies and procedures at all times.
• Use ICT solutions to deliver existing services, including the completion of electronic records to support new services and initiatives.

• 4 days on between Monday and Friday
• 07:00am - 16:45pm (including break/s)
• Weekly pay every Friday
