An established and forward‑thinking engineering company based in Wakefield is growing its development team and seeking a skilled Embedded Software Engineer. • Designing and developing embedded systems from concept through to production
• Writing high‑quality, maintainable C code
• Working within RTOS environments
• Contributing to system architecture and technical decision‑making
• Collaborating closely with hardware engineers and senior leadership

• Strong programming skills in C
• Experience working with RTOS (e.g., FreeRTOS, Zephyr)
• Microcontroller development experience (STM
  32, Microchip PIC, Nordic preferred)
• Knowledge of communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, CAN, and DALI
• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline

• Wireless technologies (BLE, Thread, Zigbee)
• Application‑level development in C, C++ or Python
• Version control using Git
