An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Social Worker to join our Locality Social Work team based at Waterton House, Wakefield. This is a full time, permanent position (37 hours, Mon - Fri).
Responsibilities- Managing your own caseload.
- Undertaking Care Act assessments, Carers Assessments, co-producing care and support plans and reviewing people's identified outcomes.
- Completing Mental Capacity Assessments and Best Interest Decision making.
- Part of a duty rota within core hours.
- Working with a range of teams across the Council and our partners including primary and secondary health services, voluntary and private sector services.
We are seeking an individual who is passionate about adult social care and providing a high-quality service and is keen to develop their professional experience and knowledge further. You will play a key part in delivering our adult social care strategy and will be committed to strengths-based and outcome-focused practice.
As a member of the team you will ensure that the service delivers positive outcomes for people. You will have a strong commitment to human rights; you will ensure the person's voice is heard and acted upon.

Applicants for this role must be qualified to a Degree level or equivalent and be registered as a Social Worker with Social Work England registration. The successful person must hold a valid and current driver's licence and have the use of a car. These are essential requirements for this role.
