Duty Manager – SPAR Outwood

Blakemore Trade Partners is a dynamic retail, wholesale and food service business operating 260 SPAR convenience stores and employing more than 7,000 people. We are looking for a talented Duty Manager to support the Store Manager at our Outwood SPAR store.

Job Overview
  • Report to the Store Manager and be responsible for store operations during your shifts.
  • Work flexible hours – 20 to 24 hours per week with mornings, evenings and weekends available.
  • Salary: £13.25 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the store is safe, legal and high performing during your shift.
  • Assist the Store Manager in delivering store objectives and key performance indicators.
  • Co‑operate with colleagues, providing coaching, mentoring and maintaining a motivated team.
  • Manage performance and absence, carrying out opening and closing duties, stock and cash security as required.
  • Conduct cash reconciliations, voids, refunds and other till management tasks.
  • Serve as a role model, upholding the company’s customer service standards.
  • Engage with the local community and promote the store to enhance sales.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and processes.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Previous management or supervisory experience in a fast‑paced retail or food service environment.
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to plan, organise and prioritise.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills at all levels.
  • Decisive, proactive approach to problem solving and decision making.
  • Committed to collaborative working and a positive team culture.
  • Enthusiastic, flexible and eager to develop your own skills.
