CNC Milling Machinist​/Programmer

Position: CNC Milling Machinist / Programmer (Permanent)
We're recruiting on behalf of a market‑leading engineering business specialising in the design, construction, and delivery of world‑class solutions for live experiences. Due to continued growth, they are looking to add skilled CNC Milling Machinists/Programmers to their team.

Location:

Pontefract/Wakefield

Shift: Monday - Friday 06:00am-14:00pm & 14:00pm-22:00pm (Weekly rotational)

Pay Rate: £19 per hour based on experience.

Key Responsibilities

Programme, set and operate CNC milling machines using Fanuc or Heidenhain controls (Experience with Siemens or other systems also considered)

Read and interpret engineering drawings with accuracy and attention to detail

Perform self‑inspection using micrometers, bore mics, verniers, and other precision tools

Produce high‑quality components to tight tolerances

Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment

Work efficiently to meet production targets while upholding quality standards

Skills & Experience Required

Apprentice trained or minimum 3 years' experience in CNC milling programming, setting, and operating

Strong background producing precision components

Confident programming from drawings using Fanuc or Heidenhain

Skilled in using precision measuring equipment and following quality control procedures

Able to work independently and collaboratively within a busy production team
