Position: Operations Manager (Permanent)
TXM Recruit is working in partnership with a well-established manufacturing organisation to recruit an experienced Operations Manager for their site in Normanton. This is a senior leadership role with full responsibility for site operations, offering the opportunity to drive operational excellence, continuous improvement, and team performance within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The Role As Operations Manager, you will lead all on-site operational activities including production, planning, and plant maintenance. You will play a key role in delivering against customer requirements while ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards. Reporting to the Group Operations and Supply Chain Director, you will be instrumental in shaping operational strategy and supporting long-term business growth.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate all site operations, including manufacturing, production planning, and maintenance
Drive operational strategy, annual budgeting, capacity planning, and cost-efficiency initiatives
Ensure production schedules are delivered safely, on time, and to quality standards
Promote a strong health, safety, and environmental culture across the site
Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies
Develop, coach, and engage operational teams, supporting succession planning and skills development
Work closely with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Sales to meet business objectives
Monitor operational KPIs and present performance reports to senior management
Manage operational risk, business continuity planning, and responses to disruption

Skills & Experience Required
Proven leadership experience within a manufacturing or production environment
Strong background in operations or production management, ideally in a senior role
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Data-driven approach with strong analytical capability
Experience using ERP/MRP systems and production planning tools
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement frameworks
Degree-level qualification or equivalent experience (management or leadership qualification desirable)
