Lead. Influence. Work the way senior professionals should.
CRA Consulting is proud to be partnering with a highly regarded, modern claimant Serious Injury practice to appoint an accomplished Serious Injury Team Leader to oversee and develop a team of Grade C Fee Earners.
This is not a volume-driven management role. It is a true leadership position, combining technical authority, people development, and strategic oversight - within a business that genuinely trusts its senior professionals and supports flexible, adult working.
You'll lead a well-defined Serious Injury caseload mix (primarily RTA matters valued £25,000-£125,000), focusing on quality outcomes, strong governance, and sustainable performance - not micromanagement.
This role offers a credible leadership platform within a structured, forward-thinking Serious Injury function. You'll act as the technical anchor and people leader for your team, shaping standards, coaching capability, and driving consistent results - all while maintaining an exceptional work-life balance.
For senior professionals feeling constrained by rigid office policies, escalating targets, or limited influence, this is a rare chance to lead with autonomy and impact.
- Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of Grade C Serious Injury Fee Earners
- Acting as the senior technical point of contact across litigated and non-litigated RTA matters
- Ensuring robust file governance, supervision standards, and client outcomes
- Conducting technical file reviews, audits, and quality assurance
- Supporting litigation strategy to maximise outcomes and income
- Identifying and managing escalation or transfer of cases where complexity increases
- Using MI and performance data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement
- Delivering structured 1-2-1s, PDPs, coaching plans, and performance management
- Partnering with senior stakeholders to embed best practice, training, and change
- Retaining limited case ownership where appropriate, alongside leadership duties
- Proven experience settling RTA Serious Injury claims up to £125,000+
- Strong technical grounding in claimant Serious Injury work
- Demonstrable experience supervising or managing Grade C Fee Earners (or equivalent)
- Confident handling people leadership, performance conversations, and development planning
- Comfortable using MI to drive outcomes and accountability
- Gravitas and credibility with the ability to influence across teams and stakeholders
- Tech-confident and open to modern systems and ways of working
- Qualified Solicitor or Fellow of CILEx
- Exposure to Intermediate Track matters
- £49,600 - £62,000 basic salary
- Annual performance bonus
- Private Health Insurance
- 25 days' holiday + bank holidays
- Genuinely flexible, remote-first working (office attendance typically once per quarter)
- Long-term career development with opportunities to move across teams or functions
If you're an experienced Serious Injury leader who wants real flexibility, genuine trust, and a senior role with influence, I'd welcome a confidential conversation.
