Talent Acquisition Coordinator – Operations
Volume Operations and Engineering – £28,000 - £32,000 DOE + Benefits
Are you energised by fast-paced recruitment and keeping high‑volume operations moving? We’re looking for a Talent Acquisition Coordinator to play a vital role in hiring the people who keep our transport network running safely, smoothly, and on time. This is a hands‑on, high‑impact role where you’ll manage candidate journeys end to end, support large‑scale recruitment campaigns, and work closely with operations and training teams to get new starters road‑ready.
The RoleReporting to the Talent Acquisition Manager, you’ll support operational recruitment across the business, ensuring an outstanding candidate experience from application through to onboarding. You’ll be a key partner to recruiters, operations, and training, helping maximise conversion, efficiency, and compliance.
What You’ll Be Doing Candidate Management- Act as the main point of contact for candidates throughout the recruitment process
- Manage communications, updates, and queries professionally and efficiently
- Support candidate screening and pipeline management
- Coordinate pre‑boarding activities including medicals and licence applications
- Support assessment days, including logistics, reporting, and candidate follow‑up
- Schedule interviews and liaise with training schools on assessments and inductions
- Provide administrative support to high‑volume recruitment campaigns
- Coordinate start dates, inductions, and onboarding documentation
- Ensure all pre‑employment checks are completed accurately and on time
- Work with internal stakeholders to ensure new starters are fully prepared
- Maintain accurate recruitment records in Workday
- Produce reports on pipeline activity, assessments, and onboarding metrics
- Ensure compliance with internal processes and external regulatory requirements
- Proven experience in a fast‑paced, high‑volume recruitment environment
- Strong candidate management and recruitment coordination skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- High attention to detail with strong organisational skills
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines
- Confident using ATS/HR systems and Microsoft Office
- Strong conversion ratios from application to start
- Timely establishment of new starters
