Working pattern:
Part‑time, 30 hours per week (Monday‑Friday).
Provide a safe, nutritious and exciting meal service to patients, staff and visitors, participate in the preparation of functions and special events. Handle cash, maintain hygiene standards, and support the catering team in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare meals to required standard, following Food Hygiene General Regulations 1995.
- Work as part of a team and assist in developing catering services.
- Undertake duties in other areas of the department or on other Trust sites as required.
- Handle cash and clear away post‑meal times with attention to food hygiene and health & safety.
- Ensure dining room meets hygiene standards, supporting cleaning schedules and procedures.
- Provide efficient service for meetings, working lunches and various functions.
- Identify and act on problems, lending guidance where applicable.
- Essential qualifications
: 706/1 & 2 or equivalent NVQ grade (or commitment to work towards), Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate or working towards. - Essential experience
:
Demonstrable catering experience, team working experience, customer service experience. - Desirable experience

Experience in till operation. - Special knowledge/skills

Ability to work as a team member, organise workload, communicate effectively with colleagues and patients, working knowledge of HACCP system. - Physical attributes

Ability to undertake the duties of the post, satisfactory sickness record over the previous two years.

Benefits and Working ConditionsBand 2, Salary £24,465 per year pro rata.
Contract:
Permanent. Staff uniform provided. Applicants must be fully vaccinated against COVID‑19 (or provide evidence of vaccination). Applicants must prove right to work in the UK or have alternative visa routes; sponsorship not available.
