Hello! My name is Beth and I am the team manager for Core Team West. Along with Steve, our psychological therapies clinical lead, we have a rare opportunity for a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist, or psychotherapist to join our service. The post will work within the multidisciplinary team, delivering evidence-based treatment, conducting psychological assessments and regularly taking the duty-worker role. We particularly welcome applicants trained in integrative approaches or in CBT, EMDR and/or DBT.

Main Duties- Provide specialist skills within a multidisciplinary team.
- Undertake psychological assessments, develop and review care plans, and deliver treatments.
- Deliver the team duty role and offer clinical supervision to staff.
- Work collaboratively with other professionals and agencies, manage and review care plans in a recovery-focused manner.
- Operate autonomously within professional guidelines, trust and national policies.
- Attend relevant team meetings, receive formal supervision, appraisal and training, and benefit from development opportunities and links to local training courses.
- Registered Clinical or Counselling Psychologist (HCPC) or Psychotherapist (UKCP, ACAP, BABCP).
- Hons. degree in Psychology or equivalent; doctoral qualification or Masters-level psychotherapy qualification.
- Strong communication skills and ability to travel within the Trust.
- IT literate, with safeguarding training and knowledge of adult & child protection legislation.
- Experience completing supervised clinical practice in the NHS.
- Ability to work within two models of psychological assessment, formulation and intervention.
- Commitment to supervision, quality improvement and collaborative working.
- 2:1 minimum on undergraduate degree or eligible for chartered status.
- Research skills and awareness of legislation relevant to the clinical area.
- Experience working with service users, including those with disabilities, and using diverse theoretical approaches.
- Demonstrated caring, team-player attitude and resilience to meet job demands.
- Good record of attendance and punctuality over the previous two years.

Salary, Contract & Working PatternBand 7: £47,810 – £54,710 per annum.
