MYDoc CST Equivalent; Rotational Programme

About the role

Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust invites applications for high quality posts designed primarily for trainees who have completed their FY2 placements and wish to pursue a CST equivalent training within Surgery. The posts serve as an ideal steppingstone between FY2 and specialty training, offering opportunities to develop skills in medical education and quality improvement. Post holders will be eligible for a certificate of equivalence of core training, allowing application to national specialty training programmes (STR).

• Participate in a full shift rota, working under Consultants and senior trainees in patient management.
• Assist in ward rounds, operating theatre, pre‑ and post‑operative care of patients on wards.
• Attend out‑patient clinics and referrals in the Emergency Department.
• Attend departmental teaching every week and undertake continuing medical education.
• Study leave available per Trust policy.

• Full GMC registration.
• BMBS, MBBS, or equivalent medical qualification.
• Foundation Programme Certificate of Completion (FPCC) from a UK affiliated foundation programme or completed CREST form prior to commencing the post.
• Maximum of 12 months experience following Foundation training, with a minimum of 6 months in the NHS.
