Management Accountant

Position: Management Accountant (Permanent)
An established and profitable West Yorkshire group operating in manufacturing and distribution is seeking a Management Accountant. With a strong track record of growth, reinvestment, and international expansion, the business offers a role combining technical responsibility, team leadership, and commercial exposure, ideal for an accountant looking to gain broad exposure and develop their career.

The role offers responsibility beyond reporting, supporting operational decisions and driving finance process improvements. The successful candidate will lead parts of the management accounts team, work closely with senior management, and help shape processes within a financially robust and strategically ambitious group.

Responsibilities

Prepare and review monthly management accounts, reconciliations, and intercompany reporting
Coordinate budgets, forecasts, and audit support
Maintain ledger integrity and financial controls
Deliver financial analysis to support operational and strategic decisions
Lead and develop staff within management accounts, credit control, and purchase ledger

Candidate profile

Proficient in Excel and comfortable with ERP systems
Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, commercially focused environment
Strong technical grounding with ambition to take on broader leadership and business-facing responsibilities
Experienced manager of people, able to inspire and motivate a long-standing accounts team Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 + excellent pension, death in service, private healthcare
